Grape harvest: by hand, at the beginning of October
Winemaking: Destimed grapes are macerated for 12 days and fermented at 32C. After the process of pressing and malolactic fermentation, 20% of wine matures in 225 liters Barrique barrels up to 1 year. Rest of wine matures in large barrels made of Slavonian oak. Final maturation is undergone in large oak barrels until bottling.
Aging potential: up 6 years
Colour: The color of wine is clear, intensive ruby red with discreet brick shade.
Aroma: The aroma is reminiscent of ripe red berries, green paprika, liquorice, dried plums, vanilla and smoke.
Taste: The taste of this especially rich wine is smooth and velvety, is reminiscent of red fruits, vanilla, green pepper and other forest fruits, Hint of wood are nice balance of sweet and smooth tannins give this wine nice potential for further ageing.
Food and wine pairing recommendation: This wine can be served with all types of beefsteaks and medallions, especially with peppery sauces or garlic truffles. Can also be served with gama meat, sheep and goat meat, and medium matured cheeses.
