An opaque black ruby wine developing hints of garnet, though still youthful in appearance. There is a more mature bouquet here with cedar, tobacco and wild herbs here adding complexity to the intense black fruit. To taste, it’s still remarkably youthful for a ten year-old wine with powerful cassis and plum fruit and masses of structure. It’s beginning to soften and mellow but still has plenty of keeping potential too.
