Wine description:

  • Variety: Shiraz
  • Soil type: Eocene flysch, consisting of layers of marl and sandstone
  • Location: Gordia, Purissima
  • Harvesting: Exclusively manual harvesting in the second half of September
  • Processing: The destemmed grapes are macerated for 10 to 14 days at a temperature between 23 and 27 °C. After pressing and biological fermentation, the wine matures for 12 months partly in barrique barrels made of French and American oak and partly in stainless steel containers.
  • Ripening potential: 3-5 years
  • Color: This wine has a deep ruby color with purple hues.
  • Smell: The initial smell is somewhat discreet, but with a slight swirl of the wine in the glass, it reveals all its character. It expresses a fruity and varietal character reminiscent of fresh red fruits, blackberry, blueberry and spicy notes. The notes of maturation in the wooden container are discreet, nicely integrated into the base of the wine and add a gentle note of dark chocolate.
  • Taste: On the palate, the wine is full, soft and with wonderful concentration. The tannins are concentrated but soft and give structure to this wine. It offers a fruity, ripe character, with a typical spicy note and a longer finish in the mouth.
  • Food recommendation: It is a good companion to game, grilled red meat, roasted duck breast and various cheeses.
  • Serving temperature: 14-16 °C
